Garrett Introduces New Tom Yum-flavoured Popcorn and Every Malaysian Wants a Piece of It

As Malaysians, we are familiar with spicy food and one of our all-time favourite dishes is the Tom Yum soup from Thailand. In fact, some of us would purposely travel all the way to Thailand just to eat the authentic version!

Consider yourself a Tom Yum lover? Then you’ll be delighted to know that Garrett Popcorn Malaysia has released a limited edition flavour that’ll appeal to our Malaysian taste buds: the Tom Yum popcorn!

The new hot and sour flavour was released on the 26th of April and will only be available for a limited time while stocks last, so you know what to do if you want to get your hands on them!

And just like its namesake, the new flavour promises to deliver the same spicy, sour and savoury tastes that we all know and love. That’s because Garrett Popcorn has made the perfect fusion of flavours, by combining the citrus essence of fresh lime and lemongrass with fiery bird’s eye chillies and fragrant spices to tantalise your taste buds.

Best of all, you can enjoy this delectable new flavour in two different versions, Buttery for a richer taste or CheeseCorn for a more savoury note. Do note that there are limited amounts of the Tom Yum popcorn available in Garrett Popcorn outlets every day, as their popcorn is made fresh daily.

The current price for a small bag of Tom Yum Buttery popcorn retails at RM13 while a small bag of Tom Yum CheeseCorn retails at RM18.

You can get your popcorn fix at Mid Valley Megamall, Suria KLCC, 1 Utama, KLIA2 and Pavilion Elite Tower.

A little advice though, do take a tiny taste test before stuffing in a handful to your mouth if you don’t have a high tolerance for spiciness, because things can get really intense.

Also, prepare some cold water in case of emergencies!
