Food delivery riders already have it hard, having to make deliveries in the pouring rain and blistering heat. Yet, certain customers tend to make their lives harder.

Layla (@sokcantikkau) took to her TikTok page to share how a Foodpanda rider who had made a delivery at an industrial area, had gone from factory to factory searching for his customer after she had taken her food and ran off without paying.

She wrote, “Pity this Foodpanda rider, he’s been looking for his customer, Nadia. She had ordered over RM100 worth of food, she took her food and had run off without paying.”

Customer 1

The rider tried contacting the customer for hours, going factory to factory in the industrial area, hoping that he would spot her.

In the video, he could be seen sitting on a curb outside one of the factories, unsure of what to do.

“Since 3pm (yesterday), he didn’t get any responses from her and he was forced to look from factory to factory for the girl who cheated him.”

She added that she hopes her TikTok post will end up on the customer’s ‘For You’ page.

Customer 2

While it is unsure as to whether the rider had eventually found the customer or not, one thing is for certain: food delivery riders deserve respect and their livelihoods should not be played a fool with.

“Remember, not all riders are bad. So, don’t look down on them. You would feel it too if you were in their shoes,” Layla wrote.

We genuinely hope that the rider won’t have to bear the consequences of the customer’s actions.
