Wanna escape the chaos of everyday life for a bit? What if we told you there’s a way to step into the year 2050, explore a vanished underground palace, uncover forgotten secrets, and feel every moment like you’re right there in the middle of it all?
Well, buckle up, because something next-level just landed in KL, and it’s unlike anything Malaysia (or Southeast Asia) has ever seen.
Introducing The Element Code 305: Malaysia’s First Immersive Sensory Sci-Fi Experience that lets you see, hear, and even feel a futuristic world like never before!
Ready to dive headfirst into 2050? Here’s the lowdown on Malaysia’s first-ever experience of its kind.
What exactly is The Element Code 305?
Presented by DF Experiences, a subsidiary of the newly SGX-listed Dezign Format Group Limited, The Element Code 305 (or TEC305 for short) is Malaysia’s first-ever immersive sensory sci-fi experience. But let’s clear this up right away, it’s not just another VR game.
Instead, it’s a multi-sensory cinematic journey where you’ll wear a special headset and physically feel the world around you, from wind in your hair to light splashes of water and even the subtle underground rumble beneath your feet.
It’s sci-fi meets storytelling, and the kind of thing you need to try at least once just to believe it’s real.
The plot: A sci-fi storyline that feels too real!

So here’s the story: it’s the year 2050. Humanity’s cracked AI, quantum computing, and space travel. But now, something’s gone wrong.
You’ll join Scout Chen Guo, her loyal companion Xiao Tian, and the brilliant scientist Dr. Jin on a mission to repair the malfunctioning Huo Tian, a time-space device whose fate could alter the course of history itself.
Along the way, you’ll explore a mysterious underground palace, and even unlock the secrets of a rare super-uranium element.

And of course, it wouldn’t be an adventure without a few wild detours. You’ll get tossed through unstable space-time rifts, creep through ancient caves, and cross sketchy-looking bridges inside a mythical underground palace.
What makes this different?

You’re not just watching, you’re inside the story. From the moment you step in, every element is designed to heighten your senses.
You’ll feel the wind as your spaceship launches. Hear the eerie silence of the Moon, and flinch when water sprays near volcanic lava cracks. You’ll journey through these four epic locations:
- Lunar Research Base: High-tech corridors where your mission begins

- Space-Time Rift

- Ancient Cave

- Underground Palace

Every scene is brought to life with cinematic soundscapes, tactile set pieces, dynamic lighting effects, and AI-powered characters.
Together, they make it feel less like you’re watching a movie and more like you’ve stepped inside one, only this time, you’re the main character.
Now that you’ve got the lowdown, here’s what to expect, so you don’t look lost. 🫣
Here’s how it works!
The whole experience takes around 40 to 45 minutes, and here’s how it all plays out:
- Step 1: Registration and prep

Upon arrival, look out for the entrance to TEC305 on Level 2, Quill City Mall, and check in at the registration counter. The friendly crew will guide you through the process, assign you your headset, and answer any questions.
- Step 2: Gear up and get briefed

Next, you’ll be guided to a prep area to gear up, where you’ll put on a lightweight headset and enter a visually stunning prep zone. There’ll be a short mission briefing too, just to make sure you’re ready to handle what’s coming.
- Step 3: Enter the world of 2050

And just like that, your adventure begins. Over the next 30 minutes, you’ll journey from a high-tech Lunar Base to a chaotic space-time rift, then through eerie ancient caves and into a mythical underground palace.
Every location surrounds you with high-res visuals, cinematic sound, and real physical effects. You’ll feel every gust of wind and splash of water with full-body effects that’ll make you forget it’s all simulated.
- Step 4: Come back to earth (sort of)

Once your mission’s complete, you’ll step out of the zone, remove your headset, and have your “what just happened” moment.

Before you head out, stop by the Enchanted Café, brought in all the way from Singapore. It’s a whimsical space with storybook vibes, fairy lights, lush greenery, and drinks that look as good as they taste, especially their signature soy-based cold brews that are smooth, vegan-friendly, and sustainably made.

There’s also a merchandise zone with exclusive TEC305 merch, so you can grab a souvenir (or just take more pics). Because let’s be honest, if you didn’t post it, did you even go?
