Known for her utterly mesmerising voice, Moira Dela Torre has been tugging listeners’ heartstrings since her 2013 debut on The Voice of the Philippines. During her audition, she attracted the attention of Black Eyed Peas’ founding member, apl.de.ap, who was the only coach to turn his chair and bring her onboard his team. Though she was eliminated in later battles, she garnered enough attention to be signed to a reputable record label and released her self-titled debut EP, Moira, in 2014.
Since then, Moira kept her feet in the music industry by singing for advertisements on TV and radio. BUT it was her song, Malaya, that gave her the breakthrough she deserved after it was featured as one of the official soundtracks for two popular rom-coms: Camp Sawi, and Love You to the Stars and Back. After all, it was an anthem for all the broken hearts to break free and learn to find happiness once more; combine that message with Moira’s incredible vocals, and we can totally see why it was such a hit!
2. An award-winning OPM (Original Pilipino Music) singer for the ages!
That’s not all – Moira’s live rendition of Malaya aboard Wish FM Bus, the first mobile FM radio booth in a bus, also went viral online, garnering 27 MILLION views to date! It was her soulful performance that eventually earned her first music awards, winning two Wish Awards that include Wishclusive Contemporary Folk Performance of the Year and Wishclusive Viral Video of the Year.
And finally, in 2018, not only was her first-ever concert sold out (they even opened up a second concert the next day!), but her debut album, Malaya, was also certified 8x Platinum in the country with more than 120,000 copies sold! To top it all off, she became the number one most-streamed artist in the Philippines on Spotify.
Fast forward to 2021, Moira showed no signs of slowing down with the release of her sophomore album, Patawad, which was certified Platinum in the Philippines with more than 15,000 copies sold.

Now, Moira is embarking on a world tour to support her yet-to-be-named upcoming album.
