As the number of cases continues to rise, many people are hoping to get vaccinated as soon as possible to reduce the risk of contracting Covid-19.

In a statement by the Selangor public health exco member, Dr Siti Mariah Mahmud has stated that interested companies can now apply to buy vaccines through the state government to vaccinate their employees here.

As of now, the purchase of vaccines is limited to companies and healthcare facilities only. However, there is an option for individuals and/or families which is said to be coming soon. This hints that families will be able to buy vaccines for themselves soon.

As of now, employers and healthcare facilities can register their interest in buying the vaccine with these easy steps:

  1. Employers can register their interest and the number of staff they want to be vaccinated on the Selangkah Vax website.
  2. An invoice will be sent from SELCARE Clinic and a deposit of 50% is needed to confirm the booking.
  3. The remaining 50% must be paid 14 days before the vaccination date. Company staff must input their details into the Selangkah app.
  4. Once the deposit has been processed, vaccination appointments will be set and informed.
  5. Those who are vaccinated can report their side effects on the Selangkah app. They can also access their digital vaccination certificate there.

Vaccination will take place either in the company or at a panel clinic. Companies with less than 1,500 staff will be assigned a panel clinic.

This is certainly a great idea for companies who want to make sure that their employees are protected as soon as possible. What do you think about this? Let us know in the comments.
