What would you want to do when you’re older? Relax and retire somewhere quiet, or maybe finally pursue some of the dreams you never got to pursue when you were too busy as an adult?

After all, for most people who are reaching their golden years, the dusk of their lives is usually best spent away from the hustle and bustle of work.

But for one couple in Thailand, their advanced age is hardly any reason to stop working and earning a living for themselves, according to a recent Facebook post that was shared by a netizen!

Man was surprised that it was an elderly couple who arrived with his food

The netizen, who owns a sushi restaurant in Hat Yai, Songkla, Thailand, had recently been preparing an order that he had received through his GrabFood app and had been waiting on the delivery rider to arrive, when he was pleasantly surprised to find not a young man, but an elderly uncle, arriving to collect the food.

As it turns out, the elderly uncle and his wife are both registered as GrabFood delivery riders as they had wanted to remain financial independent without having to be a burden on their own children!

He decided to snap a photo of them to share their inspiring story

So, the couple would make their delivery rounds daily, with the husband collecting the food at the restaurants and manning the motorbike, while his wife would help him pack the food into the delivery bag in the back.

Inspired by the couple’s determination to remain self-reliant despite their age, he decided to take a photo with the old man and share his story through social media, which has since caught the eye of netizens everywhere!

Which comes to show that age really is a number by day’s end! We wish this elderly couple all the health and happiness in the world, as well as salute them for being inspirations for us all.
