Defence Minister: Not Compulsory For School Students To Wear Face Masks
15th July 2020 saw the re-opening of schools with students involving Form 1 to Form 4, Primary Year 5 and Year 6 as well as remove classes students.
To prepare for the arrival, the government has set SOPs including recording students’ name and temperatures before they enter the school. Students will be also be required to eat in their respective classrooms, not canteens while maintaining social distancing.
In an update by the Defence Minister, Datuk Seri Ismail Sabri Yaakob announced that wearing face masks in school is no longer compulsory. However, if the child is sick, he/she is not allowed to enter school premises.
