Customer Stabs Food Vendor in Ipoh For Unknown Motives, PDRM on the Hunt for Suspect

A food vendor in Ipoh recently sustained injury after getting stabbed by a man who was his customer which the vendor did not know personally.  A 19-second video, which is now circulating on social media showed a man wearing a bright-colored jacket suddenly pulling out a knife from his waist and stabbing the victim before running away.

PDRM is now actively tracking the man suspected of stabbing in an incident at a restaurant in Taman Cemerlang Rapat near Gunung Rapat yesterday (December 2).

Ipoh District Police Chief, Assistant Commissioner Yahaya Hassan said the investigation was carried out after several videos and photos of the incident went viral on Facebook.

“The victim suffered an injury in the abdomen as a result of being stabbed with a knife weapon by the suspect who was his client,” PDRM said.

Fortunately, the victim is now in stable condition after undergoing surgery at the Raja Permaisuri Bainun Hospital (HRPB), reported Sinar Harian.

The motive, as of today (December 3), is still unknown.

The public who has information related to the incident can contact the District Control Room (DCC), Ipoh District Police Headquarters (IPD) at 05-2542222 to assist with the investigation.
