In this day and age, COD (Cash On Delivery, not Call of Duty) is a term that many of us use on a daily basis.
However, we did not expect a groom to be delivered to his own wedding COD-style.
A video of the above went viral on Indonesian social media. The groom was sent to the wedding venue in a big cardboard box as if he was a parcel. It is understood that this wedding happened in Indonesia as well.
Makasar_info mentioned that the man works as a delivery person at an Indonesian logistics company.
In that video, we see a massive box at the back of a lorry which was later carried down onto the ground, the box was lifted to reveal the groom in a suit while wearing a songkok.
Men dressed like delivery men with their helmets on then lifted the box to deliver the groom to the bride’s house. The process of them married went on smoothly and they had the reception later on.
Some Indonesian netizens said that the act of “nikah” or solemnisation is a sacred practice and should be done with respect while others think that the couple did not disrespect the practice as the COD part was only applied to transporting the groom.
