One factor that keeps foreign tourists returning to Malaysia is the food, culture, and kindness shown by some Malaysians.

Just recently, a celebrity from China revealed the generous help that he received from a random Malaysian family at a restaurant somewhere in the country. The celebrity did not disclose the restaurant’s location but admitted that the bill didn’t cost him much. It was RM44.

Unfortunately, he did not have enough cash.

“I only had RM32 in my wallet,” the celebrity said.

While he did not carry enough cash on the day, he wasn’t out of luck. It was his lucky day. Besides his table, the Malaysian family decided to “interfere” and help him settle the bill.

“My son told me he recognised you. You’re a celebrity from China.”

A kind Malaysian family settled his RM44 bill, and he couldn’t thank the family enough. The celebrity then left the restaurant and bumped into the man who paid for his bill outside the restaurant, where he was smoking.

“I thanked him again and told him I was going to the convenient store to get something. He actually asked if I had enough cash with me and wanted to offer some money.”

The celebrity shared his experience on a talk show in China, which you can watch here.

We guess this reminds us to carry more cash in our wallets, especially when some places are still not accepting digital payments.
