The corpse of a man washed up at the shore of Desaru Beach in Kota Tinggi, Johor yesterday (January 18).
In an official statement by PDRM, police said they received a report about the matter around 7:30 am, and officers who were deployed to the scene found zero documents on the man. The police believe the man was a local Chinese aged between 30 and 40.
The medical officers in Klinik Kesihatan Felda Senning then pronounced his death after the man showed no vital signs.
The Forensic Department in Hospital Kota Tinggi then performed an autopsy on the unknown deceased man and confirmed that he drowned. As of now, no criminal elements were identified in the death, and PDRM has classified the matter as a sudden death.
PDRM also urged the public to come forward if they had relevant information about the matter.
