Nowadays, it’s nearly impossible to find a restaurant that sells a plate of rice served with chicken/fish and vegetables for less than RM6, especially in Kuala Lumpur. However, there’s one restaurant in Bangsar that serves all of that for as low as RM3. No joke!

In the town of Bangsar, amongst its high-end restaurants, is the humble Bangsar FISH HEAD Corner.

The Bangsar FISH HEAD Corner, also known as Anuar curry fish head, is a food stall situated at No.2 Lorong Ara Kiri 3, Taman Lucky. Here, they only charge you RM3 for a generous plate of rice with fish curry broth, okra, chicken, and taugeh. FYI, their fried chickens are deep fried and fried on the spot, so they are as fresh as you can get!

Not only that, you can even get extra helpings, so if you think you need more curry or taugeh, feel free to ask for more!

Also, people who usually eat here have teh ‘o’ ais together with their meal, which is only an additional RM1, making their grand total come up to just RM4. So cheap!

Besides their famed fried chicken rice, they also serve rice with fried fish for the exact same price, and of course, it comes with taugeh too!

However, if you’re feeling really hungry and craving for a big meal, don’t worry, they also serve fried squid with vegetables and fried chicken/fried fish for only RM10. Not too shabby!

Not a fan of squid but still want a hearty lunch? You can also opt for the fried chicken and fish together, for just RM6.

As for their famous fish curry, you can get the dish itself for between RM30 and RM80, depending on the size of the fish.

Already thinking of going there?

Well, these guys are usually opened from 9am to 5pm, but their peak hours are of course during lunchtime. However, you needn’t worry about the crowd because they work at the speed of light, or at least that’s what it seems like. So, you won’t have to wait long to have your lunch even though there’s a big crowd. Yay!

With that said, here’s a friendly reminder; make sure you park your car properly when you’re there or your car may get clamped or summoned by DBKL. After all, Bangsar is famous for their frequent checks!

So, if you’re around Bangsar and looking for a hearty and affordable lunch that can be served in a jiffy, you know where to go! Brb, planning my lunch trip!
