A tense moment that took place last Saturday witnessed four agencies; the Fire and Rescue Department of Malaysia, Malaysia Civil Defence Department, the police and members of the Paka health clinic rush to a fake emergency that took place near Kampung Pinang Merah, Paka.

Believed to have answered the call to aid a freak accident in the area, a video of all four agencies standing by, made its way onto social media.

In the fake call, the prankster said that the accident involved a lorry, two cars and a motorcycle, adding that the ‘accident’ took place near Sekolah Kebangsaan Pinang Merah, circa 8:59pm.

According to the Paka Fire and Rescue Department Chief, Mohd Aidil Khairim Abdul Wahab, “the individual also said that two buses were also involved, adding that both vehicles crashed into the mentioned incident that happened earlier.”

“It was the Fire and Rescue Department at first. Later on other agencies were also tricked by this prankster.”

“We tried connecting with the individual but there was no answer.”

If found guilty, this prankster may face a fine of RM50,000 and/or 1-year imprisonment under the Communication and Multimedia Act 1998, Section 233.
