Recently, a doctor couple who is also travel bloggers, Iise and Michelle, took to their Facebook page, Docs On Vacay, to share pictures of the current situation and Kuala Lumpur International Airport 2 (KLIA2).

In the post, the couple shared multiple shots of the airport, pointing out how it once used to be a place filled with “hustle and bustle” but now seemed to be a ghost town.

They wrote in their post:

“KLIA2, this morning, was eerily quiet. The vibrance, the hustle and bustle which used to be so very prominent, is now near devoid of life. Covid-19 truly has ravaged our nation. It was a sad sight to witness.”

Ever since the pandemic hit and the country went into lockdown, flights have been reduced and restricted. Even with the relaxed SOPs, many are still unable to travel as the safety of citizens still remains questionable.

But hopefully, with the recent announcement of the tourism pilot project that is expected to take off in the near future, it won’t be long till the place returns back to the new normal.

Till then, let’s all do our part by staying at home and complying with the SOPs set by the government so that when the time comes, our health and safety won’t be on the line.
