A recent photo has been making waves online after an elderly aunty in Singapore was seen doing a kind act during this holy month of Ramadan, which has since touched the hearts of many.

Mohammad Saad Bin Abdullah shared the touching moment on Facebook, showing how the Chinese woman walked up to the mosque and stopped at the bottom of the stairs leading to the entrance.

In the post, Saad shared how the woman slowly made her way up the stairs, holding onto the handrail tightly and taking each step carefully.

When she finally reached the top, she spotted a donation box. She opened her bag, pulled out an SGD10 note, and gently slid it inside.

“Her face softened with a peaceful smile, like a weight had just been lifted from her heart,” Saad wrote.

“It wasn’t just about donating money…”

Even though the woman doesn’t share the same faith as those who regularly visit the mosque, her kindness stood out, crossing religious boundaries.

Saad shared how deeply moved he was by the moment, saying her simple gesture was a powerful act of compassion that went beyond just generosity and empathy.

“The moment lingered, a quiet reminder of the beauty of humanity. How a simple act of giving, driven by a heart full of love, can bring people together and touch souls. The elderly lady climbing those stairs wasn’t just about placing money in a box but it was a powerful display of unity, kindness, and the lasting spirit of goodwill.”
