A photo of a grey Mercedes-Benz parking by the roadside in Kepong, Kuala Lumpur, has gone viral recently, being shared by many public Malaysian social media accounts, with the original post believed to be from this Facebook group.

In the viral post with over 1,300 reactions, the grey Mercedes-Benz can be seen parked at a junction of a residential area and partially blocking the way.

Well, the most obvious reason why the photo went viral is because the illegally parked luxury car was splashed with yellow paint throughout its body, presumably due to the way it was parked.

A closer look at the photo showed that the driver and right rear passenger door were the areas where the most yellow paint was splashed.

Furthermore, it seems that the paint was splashed from the right side rather angrily by the assailant, as the yellow paint can be seen travelling quite far, with its residue sticking to the gate of the building on the left of the luxury car.

Malaysians give their 2 cents on the incident

In the comments section, Malaysians offer no sympathy for the grey Mercedes-Benz owner as many believe that they shouldn’t have parked the luxury car like that in the first place.

One commenter joked that the perpetrator who splashed the yellow paint did what many people dared not to do.

Meanwhile, another commenter jokingly offered to show the perpetrator where to buy cheaper paint so that they could do this more often.
