One of the scariest things about the pandemic besides the growing death toll is how the virus has singlehandedly turned local tourist spots into ghost towns.

So much so, that many businesses are unable to sustain themselves because of the lack of customers and are now closing down.

The 生意出顶 Malaysia Business For Sale Facebook page took to their profile to showcase businesses at Petaling Street, in the heart of Kuala Lumpur, as they put up their lots for rent and sale.

They wrote, “Petaling Street. It’s the third MCO and more and more businesses are closing down. Even the stores that have been there for more than 10 years cannot survive.”

What’s most concerning is that these businesses may never be able to pick themselves up again after the pandemic is over if they go months without an income.

Hence it is crucial for us to help small business owners (and their employees) now more than ever by purchasing food, drinks and other essential items from them before it is too late.

We should do our part in ensuring our fellow Malaysians survive through the pandemic by supporting their businesses.

What do you think about this? Let us know in the comment section.
