This is just horrible and disgusting! 77 students at a seminary junior high school in Maumere, East Nusa Tenggara, Indonesia were reportedly forced to eat human faeces by two senior students last week Wednesday (Feb 19th) as “punishment”. Kompas reported that the group of students had returned to the dormitory for an afternoon rest after lunch.
When they arrived at the dormitory, one of the senior students said they found human faeces inside an empty cupboard. All 89 students were called over by the senior who questioned them about the poop. No one admitted that they had done it so the seniors decided to mete out their own form of punishment.
One of the senior scooped up the faeces with a spoon and proceeded to feed it to the junior students, forcing them to “eat” the poop. Eww, WTF? The juniors were afraid and had no choice but to obey the senior’s orders. 77 out of 89 junior students from the seventh grade were subjected to the punishment.

āWe accepted it. It was disgusting, but we cannot fight back,ā one of the victims said. They were afraid to tell their parents after the incident as they did not want to be tortured further by the seniors. The seniors had warned them not to tell their parents or the school.
However, one of the victims finally decided to tell his parents and the angry parent brought up the incident in a WhatsApp group handled by the schoolās public relations officer. In response, the schoolās principal clarified that the students did not”eat” the faeces as reported but merely “touched” the spoon with the faeces with their lips and tongue. Is that any better though?
āThe use of the term āeatā by a number of media outlets in reporting this incident is not accurate, because what truly happened is that a senior student brought a spoon containing faeces to the lips or tongue of the students in seventh grade,ā the principal added.
Following the incident, one of the parents said that he will remove his child from the school. The school has apologised for the incident and has expelled the two seniors from the school. He said the victims have been provided with guidance and counselling to help them recover from the traumatising incident. He added that the school does not tolerate bullying at all.
That’s certainly a bullying incident alright!
