A 72-year-old housewife in Penang became an instant millionaire after winning a whopping RM40.1 million in the lottery on 28 January simply by using the ‘computer lucky number selection’ method.

According to a Facebook post by Sports Toto Malaysia and a report by Oriental Daily, the lucky winner has been betting on numbers since the 1980s.

On that particular day, she noticed that the jackpot had reached RM40 million and decided to buy a lottery ticket using the ‘computer lucky number selection’ to try her luck.

What is she going to do with the money?

When asked about her plans for the windfall, the housewife shared that she intends to remain humble, while her husband said that they will share a portion of the money with their family before saving the rest.

“On the night of the draw, I couldn’t sleep and checked my ticket in the early hours of the morning. When I realised I had struck the jackpot, I was so excited that I could not sleep, but I am grateful and will continue living a simple life,” she stated.

“We are thankful for this big ang pow before Chinese New Year. We will share some with our family and save the rest for long-term stability,” her husband added.

What would you do if you won RM40.1 million? Feel free to share your thoughts in the comment section.
