64 Years of Love: Tun M & Tun Siti Hasmah Celebrate Wedding Anniversary By Feeding Each Other

Move along everyone! It’s the nation’s most beloved grandma and grandpa!

Most Malaysians find the relationship between Tun M and Tun Siti Hasmah endearing. It turns out that today, 5 August, is their 64th wedding anniversary! 64 years is such a feat!

To commemorate the date, Tun M has posted a very cute photo series of him and Tun Siti Hasmah together. In just six hours, the post had garnered 1,800 shares, 2,900 comments and 65,000 reactions!

The caption reads:

“I am shy of showing public affection but we have been married for 64 years. I think it is worth celebrating our tolerance and feelings for each other.”

Other than that, Tun M has recreated a picture of them from their younger days in a TikTok! They still look as dashing and beautiful as ever!

Other than that, Marina Mahathir has taken to her Facebook to talk about her parents’ anniversary.

“How do you survive 64 years of marriage? Only through lots of patience, respect, empathy, humour and of course, lots of love.”

“Happy Anniversary, Mum and Dad! May you be granted many many more years together and continue to inspire us on what a true partnership in marriage is.”

The post is accompanied by several photos of them cutting cake and Tun Siti Hasmah feeding Tun M the cake!
