6 Super Syiok Moments Only Malaysians Will Confirm Understand

Living in Malaysia is obviously not for the faint at heart. We have to deal with the PMS Malaysian weather, learn how to hold a conversation in three different languages and many more daily struggles that wouldn’t fit into just one article. However, because of all this, we’ve also learnt to rejoice in the little things. In fact, here are some syiok moments you might relate to, especially if you’re Malaysian!

1. When it was an unbearably hot day but it suddenly rains just as you’re going to bed

Nothing beats sleeping while it rains outside, especially after a long, hot day. Talk about the ultimate PMS weather.

2. Finding that ONE parking spot in places like Telawi Bangsar during peak hour

It’s like the universe was on your side for once and allowed you to find a good parking spot. Don’t have to double-park again!

3. Finding desserts in your fridge with zero prep time

There’s nothing more satisfying than finding the perfect dessert to snack on, like MARIGOLD desserts! While the MARIGOLD Fruit Jelly Desserts are refreshingly delicious (available in Peach, Orange and Rambutan Pineapple flavours), it’s the Milk Pudding that has our vote!

Both the Chocolate and Custard Caramel pudding have a great milk taste and are low in fat. If you snack as much as we do, you know low-fat desserts are heaven-sent.

MARIGOLD also recently unveiled a new flavour – Coconut Sweet Corn pudding. Words won’t do this pudding justice. Think creamy coconut and crunchy sweet corn in one indulging bite – it’s so delish, it takes up half the space in our office fridge!

The best part is, MARIGOLD Desserts come in little cups, making it super convenient for one to snack all day long!

4. When you leave for work and highways like Federal or LDP are clear, FOR ONCE!

Yay, don’t have to take toll!

5. When the shop aunty gives you a discount because you have no change

Those moments where the stuff you bought cost RM9.50 and you had no coins, so the aunty just gives you a small discount. “RM9 enough lah”. #bestdayever

6. When the “nasi kandar” waiter asks you to finish up the meat/veggie so he can close shop

This is a Malaysian life hack everyone should know! It also pays to be nice to your nasi kandar or mixed rice sellers because the better they know you, the more likely you are to get more discounts.

Obviously, not all of us are lucky enough to experience all the above syiok moments, but something we can definitely do to satisfy our dessert cravings is to stock up on MARIGOLD desserts! Find out more about their delicious products here!
