A 51-year-old Malaysian and Singaporean resident, who was angry with the woman he liked, killed her and later tried having sex with her corpse.
Boh Soon Ho, a Malaysian man, stood trial in court on 18 September 2019 and was charged with one count of murder, one count of trying to have sex with a corpse and one count of taking cash and a phone from the dead woman.
He considered her his girlfriend
According to Today Online, the entire incident happened in the beginning of 2016 when Boh considered Zhang, from China, his girlfriend although she never liked him back. Despite this, the 28-year-old still went shopping and for meals with him until she began turning down his invitations to go out in March.

Boh became suspicious and started spying on her near her flat about four to five times, and on 18 March, he saw her leaving with a man in a taxi. He then called Zhang over to his flat for steamboat three days later.
After they had their lunch that day, Boh found Zhang in his room combing her hair in front of the mirror. He felt the urge to have sex with her and went to hug her from behind. He told her that he wanted to have sex with her, but she scolded him and said “crazy, go away!”
Boh then tried to kiss her but Zhang said that she would bite off his tongue and shout for help. However, he still insisted on kissing her and even held his arm around her neck and asked her about a man called “Tian Meng”.
Zhang said that it was her former boyfriend from China and added that it was not unusual to be intimate with him. Boh became angry when she said this and had a desire to kill her.
He wanted to have sex with her corpse
He then took a bath towel, wrapped it around Zhang’s neck and began strangling her to death. He released his grip when he saw that her face had turned “black”.
However, Boh still felt the need to satisfy his sexual desires for Zhang and proceeded to have sex with the corpse.

“Now that the deceased was dead, she could no longer resist him and he could do to her what he earlier wanted,” the court said.
“He told himself that ‘since (she) had died and I have never seen her naked before, I should undress her’.”
Boh then took off all his clothes except his underwear, stripped Zhang naked and began taking photos of her naked body before licking her. He then tried to have sex with the corpse but failed as he could not sustain an erection.

He then went through Zhang’s things and stole her mobile phone and S$50 (RM152) and made plans to flee to Malaysia. But before leaving the country, he tried hiding the body by stuffing it in a luggage, but soon realised that he could not bend the body as it had become extremely stiff. He also contemplated chopping her up.
Instead, Boh spent the night sleeping beside Zhang’s body, and the next morning, he told Zhang to “rest in peace” before fleeing to Malaysia. He even kissed the body goodbye before leaving his flat, reported The Star.
Admits to his crime and gets arrested
When he reached Malaysia, he confessed to his sister that he had killed someone and left the body in his bedroom.
His landlord in Singapore had also found the corpse on 22 March and immediately called the police. Boh was then arrested by Malaysian police on 4 April and taken back to Singapore.

He was also found to have no intellectual disabilities and had the mental capacity to know that what he did was wrong, according to a forensic psychologist from the Institute of Mental Health.
Meanwhile, Boh could be sentenced to death or life in prison if he is found guilty of murder. However, he cannot be caned as he is more than 50 years old.
