Four-year-old Gaeshwin Nair from Seremban has made a name for himself with his impressive ability to identify automotive engine components, earning him recognition both in Malaysia and internationally.
His remarkable talent has earned him a place in the Malaysia Book of Records, as well as two world records from the International Book of Records and the Worldwide Book of Records.

Malaysian boy earns three record titles for identifying automotive engine components
Gaeshwin’s parents, Thynalan Mohan Das and Gayathri Nair, reached out to WORLD OF BUZZ to share that they first noticed their son’s impressive learning abilities when he was just one and a half years old, as he could already recite all the planets in our solar system in the correct order.
The 4-year-old has earned recognition from three record-keeping organisations for his impressive ability to identify automotive engine components at such a young age including:
1. Malaysia Book of Records (National Record Holder)
On 24 July 2026, Gaeshwin successfully identified 44 automotive engine components in just 60 seconds, earning a place in the Malaysia Book of Records under the title “Most Automotive Engine Components Identified By A Child In One Minute”.
2. International Book of Records (World Record Holder)
His achievement later earned him international recognition from the International Book of Records, where he was named the World Record Holder for “Most Automotive Engine Components Identified In One Minute (Preschooler)”.
3. Worldwide Book of Records (World Record Holder)
Gaeshwin also received recognition from the Worldwide Book of Records for his ability to identify and recite the names of automotive engine components in one minute, under the title “Most Automotive Engine Components Identified And Recited By A Child In One Minute”.

Gaeshwin’s passion for automobiles grew as he got older
As he grew older, Gaeshwin’s curiosity and passion for cars began to develop, and after his parents introduced him to educational flashcards featuring more than 100 car brands and their countries of origin, he managed to identify them all within just one to two months.
His interest in automobiles continued to grow, leading him to learn about more complex engine components, including crankshafts, valve lifters, camshaft adjusters, engine oil pumps, connecting rods, timing covers and oil separators, among many others.
“Recognising his genuine interest and enthusiasm, we decided to nurture his passion through educational materials and hands-on exposure to actual engine parts, allowing him to explore, learn and develop his automotive knowledge,” they said.

For Thynalan and Gayathri, their greatest pride lies not in the certificates and titles Gaeshwin has earned, but in seeing how his natural curiosity and love for learning have blossomed into something extraordinary.
They also hope to give him a balanced childhood while continuing to encourage his interests and support his passion for learning.
“We hope Gaeshwin’s journey inspires other parents to recognise their children’s unique abilities and give them the opportunity to explore their potential.”
