A 45-year-old Russian man was arrested after he allegedly threw his son off a speedboat while other tourists and crew members were on board near Koh Rae in Khura Buri district, Thailand.

According to the Bangkok Post, the suspect, Artem Bugorskiy, and his 13-year-old son, Lucas Bugorskiy, were on a speedboat taking tourists back from Mu Ko Surin to the Khura Buri jetty.

He jumped off the boat

As the boat approached its destination, Artem was seen getting up from his seat, grabbing his son, and throwing him into the sea before jumping off the boat himself.

It was reported that the suspect refused help, even though the crew and passengers tried to rescue him.

The Thai-Russian teenager was pulled out of the water, but he suffered serious injuries to his face and head after being hit by the boat’s propeller.
