Ever seen the Fast and Furious series in the cinemas and wondered if anyone’s ever done anything that crazy in real life here in Malaysia? Well, sometimes life becomes a surreal action movie scene, (but don’t try this at home or on any roads or highways!) as shown by this quartet who were driving a Proton Wira (Bye Skyline) that was chased by the police.

According to Free Malaysia Today, the police have arrested two local men and two Indonesian women believed to be their accomplices yesterday (1st July 2019) after a 20km car chase which ended with the suspects’ car ramming into a divider at Taman Autumn Park, Eco Hill in Semenyih.

The two men, who were the driver and front seat passenger, sustained minor injuries while the two women were unhurt.

In a press conference at the Kajang district police headquarters, Kajang police chief ACP Ahmad Dzaffir Mohd Yussof said that policemen in an MPV were on patrol when they noticed a Proton Wira with suspicious-looking occupants.

The police then ordered the driver to stop. However, instead of stopping, they sped off, leading to the police giving chase for over 20km.

The chase ended when they tried to ram the police vehicle, but they crashed into the divider instead.

An air pistol and a samurai sword were found in the car upon inspection of the vehicle. The police chief also said that all four of the suspects tested positive for drugs and will be investigated under Section 307 of the Penal Code for attempted murder. He added that the police will also apply for a remand order for the suspects at the Kajang Sessions Court today (2nd July).

Sepandai-pandai Toretto memandu, the police will always catch you and put you into lokap, ok?!
