31yo Military Captain Charged with Murder of Bangladeshi YouTuber in MEX Highway Crash

A 31-year-old military officer holding the rank of captain was formally charged at the Magistrate’s Court today (30 April) with one count of murder involving a Bangladeshi national who was a well-known gaming content creator, popularly known as “Advance Gaming.”

In addition to the murder charge under Section 302 of the Penal Code, he was also charged with two counts of driving under alcohol levels exceeding the permitted limit.

No plea was recorded 

The accused, identified as Jad Faid Arhan, appeared before Magistrate Illi Marisqa Khalizan, where the murder charge was read out to him in court. He indicated that he understood the charge by nodding. However, no plea was recorded during the proceedings, as cases involving murder fall under the jurisdiction of the High Court.

In a report by Sinar Harian, Jad Faid Arhan, who was dressed in a red collared T-shirt and jeans, is accused of causing the death of 22-year-old Muzahid Millad. The incident reportedly took place at approximately 5:30 AM at KM1.9 of the MEX Highway, along the stretch from Salak Selatan heading towards Jalan Tun Razak.

His wife, 23-year-old Nafisa Tabassum Adiba, was injured and is receiving treatment at Hospital Kuala Lumpur. The couple, who are from Habiganj, Bangladesh, had reportedly just arrived in Malaysia for a week-long holiday before the crash.

The e-hailing driver was also injured and received treatment in the hospital.
