In loving memories of her, many netizens have taken to social media platforms to share how selfless she was during the MCO. Here are three Malaysians who give their tributes to the kindness of Adibah Noor.

In a tweet on July 25 2021, 33-year-old Jefri El’Mansor tells the story of how he had to tell his children that their duit Raya for that year would have to wait as he needed to get their diapers and milk powder first.

A day later, actress Adibah Noor reached out to him and offered to give him some money as duit Raya for his children.

Speaking to WORLD OF BUZZ, Jefri, a fashion designer, said that he did not want to reveal the amount, just that it was not an insignificant amount.

Other netizens who operate small businesses said that the late Adibah Noor helped share their tweet, making their business boom during the MCO.

“Speaking of the deceased, I am indebted to her as she was willing to retweet my tweet that mentioned my small business. Due to that, many people bought from me. I was so touched. We don’t have the money to hire influencers for small businesses that just started, and it was during the MCO as well. The FOC retweet from the (Adibah) helped me.”

Another fellow Malaysian, @SharinaHasdi, also shared her story of how Adibah helped retweet her business for free and helped bring recognition for her struggling venture. Her Tweet alone has garnered 14,200 likes as of writing.

That is not to say that the actress was doing well at that time. In an article dated July 31 2020, by Berita Harian, Adibah Noor revealed that she had no income during the MCO, which led to her pawning her jewellery and selling her house.

“I am not ashamed to say that I, too, am going through tough times and financial difficulties. But we try to make it work,” she was quoted saying.

Following the news of her passing away, Jefri told us that he was shocked.

“We were speechless. There was silence, and it took me a few seconds to realise that it’s real.”

He only hopes that she will be able to rest in peace in the afterlife.

“May the spirit of Sister Adibah Noor be placed among the chosen people by the Creator’s side in the eternal land. Amin.”

The deceased was a very selfless person who helped those in need to the best of her capabilities. We hope that she will be able to rest in peace.
