At this point, everyone knows that Covid-19 is a virus to be feared as it has spread to many different parts of the world and has also infected tens of thousands of people. There have been a few instances of irresponsible people going to places while knowing that they were infected. However, this story is a different one.

This is the story of a man’s love for his family. According to China Press, Guo Yue, is an accounting student in a university in Wuhan. On 22 January, he needed to return to Cangzhou from Wuhan. As he knew about the outbreak, he took many precautions by wearing gloves and also three-layer masks.

He even called his dad to bring disinfecting alcohol to the airport so that he can disinfect his belongings and himself when he reached the airport. Throughout his flight, he did not speak to anyone and reduced all contact to a minimum. When he reached home, he quarantined himself.

“Because I came back from Wuhan, I was afraid of spreading the virus to others so I planned to quarantine myself for 14 days.”

Two days later, his classmate in university was found to have been infected by covid-19, so he went to get himself checked as well. The results came in positive and he was admitted into the hospital, by 7th February, he was already cured and discharged from the hospital. However, he was still afraid that he hadn’t fully recovered and didn’t want to accidentally infect other people, so he quarantined himself in his family’s garage.

He communicated with his family through mobile phone and his meals were sent by his parents through a little slit on the door. He stayed in there for 2 weeks until he felt completely healthy and no one else in his family was infected by Covid-19.

Guo Yue says that after a long time in isolation, he is relieved that he did not infect others and did not cause trouble to his family and the people around him.
