We all have things or skills we’ve always wanted to pick up, and yet always putting off. “Next time”, we’d tell ourselves, convinced that we’re too busy with whatever’s at hand.
Well, 19-year-old Ronald Ong from Penang proved that time is only what you make of it as this medic student is able to find time off his very busy schedule to learn a totally new skill.
Ronald creates stunning images that will just take your breath away. Like seriously, doesn’t it just look magical? *__*
What’s more surprising is that he self-taught the photo editing skills by watching YouTube videos and having tons of practice on his own.
Having just started posting these magical visuals since November last year, he’s already garnered over 41.3k followers on Instagram with a majority of them from western countries.
Ronald shares with WORLD OF BUZZ,
“I drew a lot when I was younger, [it was a] big part of my childhood. I thought, maybe I could put my ideas into good use if I pick up Photoshop, which ain’t easy at all. After one month of posting my own photos, I decided to switch up and tried creating pieces like what I’m doing now.
“I always want to show my own version of imagination to people out there and therefore inspire others to start working on new concepts!”
Ronald spends an average of 4 hours a day honing his skills. He confessed that it was hard managing time, but where there’s a will, there’s always a way.
“Medicine is very hectic, I create [art] whenever I’m free, space myself between edits for studies, basically time management is very important.
“It is not easy to start off something super different and new to me. But the fact that more people are seeing my work and they get inspired to create makes me wanna do more.”
He shares that if you’ve always wanted to do something then just do it!
“Just go ahead and create! And by practicing a lot. Never give up on your dreams. You will slowly find yourself developing your unique style!
“I never thought about garnering so much attention on Instagram for my stuffs. Most importantly, just enjoy what you are doing! Do it for yourself not the others.”
