Just this morning, a 19-year-old lady shockingly drove against the traffic on highway and ended up causing a fatal accident. The incident took place at Kilometre 134 on PLUS Highway in Sungai Dua, Penang at 7.50am, according to KwongWah.

Apparently the lady was driving her Proton Gen2 against the traffic with many on-coming cars avoiding her.

However, she still ended up colliding head on with an on-coming Perodua Kelisa before slamming into the divider and crashing into a van, 2 cars and a motorcycle, Sinchew reported.

The other motorists involved in this accident sustained only minor injuries and have been sent to hospital for treatment.

One of the victim’s friend, Marul Power commented on Facebook:

“That is my friend! His wife is pregnant and they’ve only been married for 3 months!”

The 19-year old sustained only a minor injury on her left eye and was detained by the police after receiving treatment at Hospital Bukit Mertajam.

The police suspected the lady driver to be driving under the influence of alcohol and have acquired her blood samples.

However, results came back confirming that she was high on meth!

She will be investigated under Road Transport Act 1987, Section 41 for causing death by dangerous or reckless driving.

Several footages of the lady driving against the traffic have since gone viral on social media. Netizens were enraged and slammed the young lady for her outrageous move.

“What the hell was she doing? She’s putting others’ lives in danger!” a netizen said.

“Because of you, the victim’s child will be fatherless! I hope you will be punished severely for this!” commented another netizen.

Just when the nation is still moving on from the fatal accident which claimed 8 children’s lives last month, this happened. The team at World Of Buzz would like to extend our sincere condolences to the victim’s family.
