Pakatan Harapan!

As promised, Dr Mahathir announces 10 and 11 May to be public holidays. Yes, that makes it a 4-day weekend. So, fellow Malaysians, enjoy the long weekend off!

Pakatan Harapan chairperson Dr Mahathir initially mentioned that these two dates were to become public holidays should the opposition coalition win the general election.

“I don’t like public holidays but I realise that others do. This one time only,” he said.

Through the many hiccups that happened on polling day, in addition to the delayed election results that had many Malaysians awake till the wee morning, Pakatan Harapan came out victorious!

Dr Mahathir said he will be sworn in as the Prime Minister today following Pakatan Harapan’s expected victory at the polls today. He adds that the national palace contacted him to organise the swearing in ceremony.

Anyway, if you’re one of the few that stayed all the way up till 3.30am, catching these updates, get a good rest tomorrow. You definitely deserved it.
