For those of you who are thinking about joining the Touch ‘N Go RFID family, here’s some good news for you!

The Star reported that Touch ‘N Go (TNG) will no longer require new users to register online. Instead, they are now allowing new customers to walk in to 9 selected fitment centres where they can get the RFID fitted on their vehicle for FREE!

This makes it a lot easier for potential customers as previously, users would have to register on the RFID webpage and wait for an invitation email from TNG before receiving the sticker. Now, they can skip this step altogether!

*Note that this only applies to the nine selected centres. You would still need to register online for the other fitment centres.

However, there are a few things users will be required to bring when registering for the RFID sticker, so take note!

  • The original and a copy of your IC (or passport for non-Malaysians)
  • The original and a copy of your driver’s license
  • A copy of your vehicle ownership certificate or valid insurance cover note
  • Authorisation letter from vehicle owner (if the Touch ‘N Go eWallet account holder and vehicle owner are different
  • The vehicle, of course

If you are interested, you can head to any of these locations from 10am to 10pm to get your RFID stickers (while stocks last):

  • Aeon Big Bukit Rimau, Shah Alam
  • Aeon Big, Kepong
  • Berjaya Times Square, KL
  • Empire Shopping Gallery, Subang Jaya
  • Sunway Velocity Mall, Cheras
  • Tesco, Pusat Bandar Puchong
  • Tesco Extra, Cheras
  • Tesco, Setia Alam
  • Tesco Bukit Tinggi, Klang

The RFID sticker is embedded with a radio frequency chip, which will be pasted directly on the vehicle’s windscreen or headlamp. This will enable users to use the RFID toll lanes at selected highways in the Klang Valley.

Each sticker is different and will be connected to a Touch ‘N Go eWallet app, where users can monitor their balance and top up credit via online banking, debit cards or credit cards.

Furthermore, RFID users will get a 20% rebate on their first 10 toll trips until June 30, provided they have had the RFID stickers fitted before the campaign period on February 21, or have added their TNG card to their eWallet regardless of the time frame.

Are you thinking of getting the RFID sticker? Or do you already own one? Let us know your experience using it in the comments below.
