There have been many instances of people getting rich after finding whale vomit that has washed ashore.

But what would happen if you were to find human poop?

Recently, a video taken by @riskabaker of a toilet at an offshore rig went viral on TikTok.

The caption of the video reads, “Looks like the toilets that we find on rivers at villages. Ladies who are interested in pursuing a career involving offshore, do you think you can handle it? Don’t suppress it as you could develop kidney stones!”

In the video, @riskabaker who is a local woman working at an offshore rig shows the ‘toilet’ which is just a hole cut out for your bodily waste to drop into the ocean.

She writes, “This is what the toilet looks like?!”

“Actually it’s quite good, you can look at all the fishes while doing the deed.”

Netizens were shocked and amused!

It was revealed in the comments section that these are the toilets for unmanned platforms, which have no accommodations on them.

It is merely for workers to do work at and return back to their quarters, hence the toilet is only for emergencies.

However, as many of us probably have never seen what toilets at offshore rigs look like, Malaysians were super confused yet amused with the video.

“Wow those fishes are so pretty and colourful, oh what’s that brown thing? Oh it’s my poop,” narrated a user.

“This is why underwater welders get paid so much…” said another user.

Some even joked that the fish in that area must be super healthy.

“After that a fisherman will find it and think that it’s whale vomit,” joked a netizen.

One imaginative user said, “Imagine if you’re having diarrhea, then if the wind is strong your poop will go everywhere.”

“After you poop, the fish eats it, we catch and sell the fish, the fish then gets cooked and we then eat it,” said a user.
