On July 9, a famous Korean BBQ joint in Kuchai Lama shared CCTV footage of a customer stealing their plates and cutleries.

In a short interview conducted with WORLD OF BUZZ, the management team mentioned that “after the customer has paid the bills, our staff went and clean the table, then found out that all our plates and cutleries were stolen.”

The staff then informed the floor manager and they quickly checked the CCTV footage. In the video, it was shown that the man was cleaning the plates and cutleries before storing it inside his bag.

“Usually, these kind of things do happen and we have customers who steal our plates, but this is really too much! He took 5 sets of plates and cutleries!” said the restaurant.

“It’s a hassle for us to buy the plates and cutleries all the time because the items are imported from Korea.” they added.

The management team has stated that no further actions would take place as long as the customer returns the plate to them.

“We just want to educate the public that this is considered as stealing and we would like to avoid these incidents.”

This is a general advice to NOT take any plates and cutleries at any restaurant, it is considered as stealing and legal action can be taken.
