It is common knowledge that cats are often stereotyped as aloof, but let us assure that this piece of information is more fiction than fact.

Cats are just as overprotective of their owners as dogs are; from waking you up so you are not late for work to ridding your home of pests, cats love their family just as much as their family loves them.

On Twitter, @antraxxxx shared a video of one family cat placed in charge of looking after the family baby while playing on the balcony of their home.

Coupled with the caption “Guardian angel,” the family cat was truly taking its duty seriously, pawing the family’s baby every time he tried to latch onto the railing.

It even followed the baby up to the point that he got bored and gave up on his attempt to do something that could’ve been dangerous.

This video just proves that cats are just as capable as dogs when it comes to caring for the family.
