In order to make money, some people will do anything.

In a viral video that has been circulating on different social media platforms, we see a man who was willing to risk his own life to allegedly scam some money from innocent drivers.

This was yesterday and in Klang. Group of people came out and when he said wait for police bcos he has a dash cam, everyone disperse! Police said this area they have received many of the same type of modus operandi.

It is said that this incident happened at Kapar, Klang and the timestamp on the dashcam footage shows that it happened in the afternoon of 7 April 2022.

The video starts off with a car rounding the corner into another road, after a while, a man in the middle of the street started running towards the car. The man wearing white jumped and landed on the car’s windshield.

After a while, a few people came to check on the “victim”.

According to the page that shared the video, the driver told the group of people to wait for the police to come as he has dashcam footage. After hearing that, the group dispersed.

Netizens in the comments were saying that this “technique” from China named “碰瓷” has made its way into Malaysia.

While others note how unfair it is.

“He easily ran while we have proof but we are the ones who have to bear the property damage.”

So, a netizen has advised others to invest in dashcams to protect themselves.

“Dear Malaysians, please install dashcams. If someone suddenly says that we crashed into them, we will have proof.”
