vivo’s Visual Creator Short Film Awards is Here & You Can Take Part Just By Shooting a Short Film With Your Smartphone!

As one of the leaders in mobile imaging, vivo Malaysia kickstarts the Visual Creator Short Film Awards to encourage all Malaysians to unleash their creativity by using their smartphones. Participants can submit their videos starting today till 24 October 2022.

“The Visual Creator Short Film Awards plays an important part in realising vivo’s brand value – “Joy of Humanity”, which aimed to encourage mobile users to capture and share their unique story from different perspectives with people around the world. Through this competition, vivo aims to drive innovation in imaging technology while allowing more people around the world to enjoy creating fun and entertaining content with technology,” said Mike Xu, CEO of vivo Malaysia.

 

Here’s how you can participate in the 2022 vivo Visual Creator Short Film Awards

 

Just follow the steps below:

  1. Upload the video to social media platforms (Facebook, Instagram, Twitter). Include the following hashtags: #vivoVisualCreator #OurStoryRedefined, and tag (@) an official vivo account (local or global vivo account).
  2. Submit the original video file together with the following details via email to moc.ovivobfsctd-3cecc3@ym.rotaerclausiv before 24 October 2022.
    • Participant’s real name.
    • Social media accounts, email addresses and contact numbers.
    • Country/Region of participant.
    • The background or story of the creation of the short film, and any other remarks or related content.

 

The Awards will be divided into two categories

Visual Creator Short Film Awards

There will be a total of 12 Awards and the two categories are as follows:

  1. Global Awards】USD7,000 per winner: (1 winner for each award)
    • The Best Film
    • The Best Story
    • The Best Editing
    • The Best Photography
    • The Best Creator
  2. Regional Awards】USD3,000 per winner: (1 winner for each region)
    • The Regional Best Film

Other prizes for each Award winner include:

  • Awards certificate
  • A latest vivo X series smartphone
  • Professional comments from the jury
  • Official exposure from vivo

Content usage is including but not limited to display on the official website of vivo.com, display on official social media accounts of vivo, and offline video exhibitions hosted or supported by vivo.
