Uncle Kentang needs no introduction as the man has been known for his enormous help and contributions to the needy. Unfortunately, not all good deeds are appreciated as rumour has it that Uncle Kentang is a scammer in disguise.

After the recent rumour about him being a conman, he has finally responded via a Facebook post this morning (31 January), where he reiterated that he is nowhere near a liar and a con artist.

With the experience of helping the needy for 16 years, Uncle Kentang assured the people that he has changed the lives of many poor ones, including single mothers, children and students. Despite the rumours, he will not stop helping the people.

“The attacks and the spread of malice will not shake my belief & commitment to keep serving. I will stand strong for my love to this country and all of you,” he said.

He added that he & his team have been around for a long time and not since the emergence of the Covid-19 virus or the flood. With a committed team and 20 ambulances on the road saving lives every day, the attempts to tarnish his image will not deter the spirits to keep helping the people.

Count your blessings!

Uncle Kentang also highlighted how these rumour-mongers are too fortunate and don’t count their blessings as they have too much extra time to spread malice about others. He said that the times spent on spreading lies should be utilised properly to help the needy ones.

“You are men & women of good virtues. Use your time properly, not to spread lies.”

He added that his daily job is filled with a roller coaster of emotions as he deals with matters of life & death. He revealed that he doesn’t mind being inspected as his work also involves public donations. However, the spread of rumours about him does not only harm himself, but also the others who are in need of his help.

“You are not only doing injustice to me, but also to the people who need my help. The poor, the sick, the hungry. Destroy my Facebook page, the donations will not be able to go through.”

He further explained this injustice by giving a few examples of how others will be affected as well if the lies about him are constantly being spread like wildfire.

“It is a shame for me as a Chinese to see other Chinese trying to attack me. All of us should be a torchbearer for humanity and a better country,” he expressed.

He ended his post by thanking the Malaysians who have been supporting him all this while and assuring that he & his team will continue to serve with dignity.

Uncle Kentang has definitely contributed countless times and many lives have certainly taken a turn for the better thanks to his help!
