Last Tuesday (or perhaps even Thursday depending on how much partying my fellow Grindr users were involved in over the previous weekend in Bangkok for Songkran) would have been about the time they walked into work. Those of us who weren’t fortunate enough to make it there and was stuck back here in Malaysia would have found our local Grindr feed to be a desert. We do wonder what were our luckier peers up to. So as mere mortals would, we let our imaginations run wild:
5. Working out before the shirts come off

Most Songkran attendees will have been working out for months in preparation but for those truly dedicated, one last work out at the hotel or sauna gym is a MUST. Rock-hard abs and pumped-up pecs are a requirement, not an option.
4. Last minute swimwear/accessories binge buy

The pre-Songkran swimwear preparation just isn’t enough because chances are everyone else might have had the same idea as oneself to wear that pastel pink sheer mesh jockstrap by Andrew Christian. Also Songkran goers must also think of their festival crew/posse’s outfit (think of these as their minions who will hang on every word or direction given). One-shoulder harness must match shiny metallic plate belt so as one can imagine, this part of Songkran prep requires go-to-market coordination.
3. Pre-festival detox

You won’t find any of our fellow Grindr users having a street-side meal pre-festival, but you will definitely find them experiencing some serious mood swings while chugging on their seventh protein shake.
Here at WOB, we always encourage healthy eating habits and while that will go against any rock-hard ab regimen, keep in mind that when you do meet the man of your dreams, he is most likely to fall for your charming self who is fully fed than the one who is fantasising about eating his face.

We have heard about Thai authorities letting loose and joining in on some seriously soaked fun. After all, Songkran is a festival that is about ringing in the Thai new year, whether one is fully clothed or not.

This is the most likely scenario one can fathom many festival bottoms will be facing over the weekend at Songkran, whether they were in Chiang Mai, Bangkok or even in Pattaya.
