Marrying the right person is important because as you step into this new milestone, there will be many things you’ll have to learn about each other. That being said, patience, understanding and care for one another would come in handy as you’re trying to navigate life together.

Just recently, a Malaysian has shared her experience after marrying her husband. In her post, she tweeted that she thinks she has married the wrong man.

“He doesn’t help out with household chores and isn’t even considerate towards me. We live in a flat and there’s no elevator in our area. We’d have to climb the stairs every time we’re heading back home, and he has never thought of helping me carry things or hold our child”, she said.

She shared that she has to send her kid to school every day all the while carrying her work bag and her kid’s necessities. She said that her husband works from home and only has RM2,500 salary but acts as though he is so busy to the point where he can’t pick up their child from pre-school which is located 2km away from their home.

“I travel to work every day and that’s about a 30km drive each time. Not only do I have to take care of our child, but I also have to do all of the house work even though he’s home 24/7.”

“I don’t know why I picked a lazy man and I have no idea what I was thinking when I married him”, she added.

After taking care of her child, she would have to cook dinner as well and sometimes she just gets too exhausted. When she asks if her husband could cook, he would say that it’s haram for him to cook.

“I told him that I’m tired and since he doesn’t want to help me cook, we can order delivery, but he’ll say it’s expensive and we should save up”, she said.

She then ended her post saying that if she knew life was going to be like that, she would’ve married someone rich.

“Even if he isn’t rich, as long as he helps around, I’ll be happy to (marry him)”, she said.

One should always help their partner and not leave them to do everything by themselves. It’s best to communicate with your partner and split up the things needed to be done in order to have a happy and healthy marriage life.
