Update 14/09/2020: Ever since the poster of the #AnakMalaysia campaign has been taken down by iQIYI, a public apology has been issued on the matter stating how sorry they were of the situation.

Taking to Facebook, here is what they had to say, “Hellooo guys just clarifications for those who’re confused about the logo hehe ??.”

“It’s ANAK Malaysia okay! Remember, award-winning films and drama like Ola Bola, Adiwiraku, and Anak Merdeka for FREE only for this month!”

Known globally for its comprehensive collection of Asian dramas, China-Baidu’s online streaming channel iQIYI will be featuring Malaysian popular films and dramas like Ola Bola and Adiwiraku for free on their platform.

As part of their #AnakMalaysia campaign, iQIYI gave its Malaysian fans more to celebrate during the Merdeka month with exciting local fare.

But it all went wrong when the poster they used to promote the campaign went horribly wrong.

Let’s see if you can spot the design flaw.

Well, if you can’t spot it, the words ‘Anak Malaysia’ used to signify the campaign is now ‘A**l Malaysia’.

We know that the design was not intentional, nor was it intended to show how a**l Malaysians are, the mistake has since been taken down by the company.

For those who are not familiar with iQIYI, the platform is most well known for its collection of dramas from China.

Having introduced South Korean dramas, Japanese anime, and variety programs to cater to its millennial fanbase, the streaming platform has since penetrated the Southeast Asian region with more local fanfare.
