Malaysians touched by kind nurse hand-feeding a hospital patient

The video has caught the attention of many netizens, including Malaysian politician and physician Dr Lingeshwaran Arunasalam, who has also served as a Senator representing Penang.

In a Facebook post, Dr Lingeshwaran congratulated and thanked nurse Nur Deena Nadzhiefa Binti Musni for going above and beyond to care for a patient with such kindness and grace.

“On a hospital bed, we are all the same: human beings in need of care, love, and compassion,” he wrote.

“This is the true face of Malaysia”

Dr Lingeshwaran also highlighted that despite racial differences, no discrimination was shown during moments when a person is at their most vulnerable.

“A Malay nurse is seen feeding an Indian patient. In moments like these, it’s humanity that counts, not race. No discrimination. No differences in skin colour, religion, or background,” he said.

He described the act as “the true face of Malaysia,” a kind deed done quietly, without cameras or praise, guided purely by the heart.

“Congratulations and thank you to nurse Nur Deena Nadzhiefa Binti Musni from Hospital Seberang Jaya. When we are powerless, you are our strength.”
