A video making the rounds online recently shows an encounter between a rider and a Royal Malaysia Police (PDRM) officer that has since earned praise from many Malaysians.

In the TikTok clip by @mr1vlogg, also known as Rabbit, he was seen riding along the road before being pulled over at a roadblock. An officer then instructed him to push his motorcycle to the side of the road.

During a vehicle inspection by another officer, Rabbit was asked to produce both his road tax and driving licence.

The officer pointed out the dangers of riding without side mirrors, noting that switching lanes could be risky without them.

“It’s my fault, not the police’s. The officer was just doing his job,” Rabbit wrote in the caption.

The officer had no choice but to issue Rabbit a summons while politely apologising for having to do so.

“I truly apologise, but I care about your life and the lives of other road users. Not having side mirrors may seem minor, but on the highway, it can be very dangerous,” the officer told Rabbit.

The officer later printed the summons and handed it to Rabbit, shaking his hand and apologising once again.

Speaking to WORLD OF BUZZ, Rabbit said he has the utmost respect for the officer, recognising that he was merely doing his job to keep road users safe.

“Salute to traffic police officers,” he added.
