In a recent incident, a e-hailing driver left a customer stunned when he scolded her for booking a ride to a location that appeared to be within walking distance.

The experience was shared by a woman whose post was shared by local Facebook page Meanwhile In Malaysia, where she revealed the driver’s surprising reaction.

According to the post, the driver had questioned the woman as to why she had booked a ride for such a short distance and even suggested that she could have saved time and gotten some exercise by walking instead.

“So near also you need to take? My goodness. Take an umbrella and do some exercise la.”

The woman, who was taken aback by his comments, attached screenshots of their conversation, which showed the driver’s message to her. In her post she wrote, “First time I got scolded by a driver. Sorry, it is because it is hot out there and I wanted to save a little bit of time which is why I booked a ride.”

However, that was not the end of the story as the driver eventually went on to share his very own version of events through Facebook. In a post, he demanded the woman to apologise to him and to delete the Facebook post immediately.

He also shared that he would be giving her 24 hours to do it and if not, he would be filling a police report on the matter and sue her for breaching his privacy.

As of now, there appears to have been no further updates and the post is still up.
