Experiencing car breakdowns is one of the most frustrating feelings in the world, as you are stranded by the roadside and have to wait for assistance to arrive. It can be dangerous too, especially if you are a lone female driver!

A recent post by a netizen on Facebook relates her encounter when her car’s tyre suddenly suffered a puncture when she was making her way back to pray to her late father.

“I called my brother for help, who said he was on his way but not long after that, I saw a highway patrol car passing by. After that, I saw them stopping near my car and motioning me to come over. They asked me what was wrong with my car, is it a flat tyre and I confirmed it.”

Immediately, both of the officers got down from the car and said that they would help change the tyre. I was profoundly grateful and could only thank them nonstop. At that time, the weather was really super hot but stopped to help me. I’m really lucky to be able to meet such kind officers who helped me change my tyre! Thank you so much!”

Other netizens commented on her post and praised the officers’ actions in helping her. She also clarified that when she wanted to give them some tips as a token of appreciation, they refused. Of course, some naysayers appeared and said that it was their responsibility to help any stranded driver, but others quickly retorted that they could have just as easily turned a blind eye to her predicament.

An act of kindness never goes amiss!
