Hours ago, a short video has been circulating on social media and it instantly went viral – mainly because it reminded every Malaysia the dreadful accident caused by a girl driving against traffic in March.

Apparently some people will never learn, as a silver Perodua Myvi was seen speeding down the highway against traffic earlier this morning. The lorry driver who was recording the incident even honked when the Myvi passed by him, hoping it would alert the driver. He also mentioned the number plate of the Myvi, which is WSF 1705.

Here’s the footage.

According to Harian Metro, the incident is believed to have taken place on the PLUS highway nearby the rest station in Kulai, Johor. When asked about this outrageous incident, police chief of Kulai district, Superintendent Razak Md Said said:

“As of now, neither us nor PLUS, Malaysian Highway Authority or highway patrol unit have received any report regarding the incident.”

After this video went viral on Facebook and WhatsApp, netizens poured in their two cents and condemned the Myvi driver for putting other road users’ lives in danger.

“If you have a death wish, that’s your problem. But please don’t put others in harm’s way,” a netizen said.

“This is madness! Please suspend the driving license of this driver, that is if nothing happens. He or she should not be allowed to be behind wheels,” another netizen commented.

Let’s hope that the Myvi can safely exit the highway without causing any accidents.
