Why do we need to constantly move? Well, if we stay stagnant, the muscles in our body will shrink and deteriorate. Using this logic, a seafood restaurant in Singapore has been taking their crabs for walks to ensure they don’t atrophy (when muscles and tissues waste away).

In a Facebook post shared by House of Seafood on June 18, the restaurant explained that it has started taking its crabs meant for sale as food for customers on walks so the sea creatures stay meaty before being slaughtered. In the post, the crabs are put on a leash and leisurely walked along Punggol Beach.

From the comment section, the post has prompted backlash with a majority of netizens calling the act cruel and this is just a really poor attempt at marketing. What do you think of this? Do you feel that is it necessary or just a lame excuse to get attention? Share with us your thoughts in the comment section.
