Police Hunting For Thief Who Stole Woman’s Handbag While She Was Praying in Johor Mosque

Police officers are on a hunt for a man who stole a handbag belonging to a female pilgrim in Johor.

The incident took place at Wadi Hassan Mosque three days ago at around 7.13pm.

The CCTV footage of the incident has been circulating all over social media.

From the CCTV footage, it can be clearly seen that the thief, dressed in a yellow shirt, sneakily coming into the prayer room and grabbing the bag of a female pilgrim who was in the middle of performing Maghrib prayers.

He then quickly ran for the door and made his escape.

According to Harian Metro, Johor Bahru Selatan District Police Chief, Assistant Commissioner Mohd Padzli Mohd Zain in a brief statement yesterday said, the investigation is being carried out in accordance with Section 380 of the Penal Code.

“So far no arrests have been made and we are identifying and tracking down the suspect(s),” he said.
