Just recently, a video of children intimidating drivers to donate money near Cheras traffic light has gone viral on social media.

Yesterday (4 January), Inforoadblock had once again shared another video of the beggar children via their Facebook page. This time, the video captures 2 children happily chit-chatting with each other while counting the money that they had collected from begging.

In the meantime, another video of a child begging near the traffic light at Jalan Sultan Ismail is also circulating online. In the video shared via Astro Gempak’s TikTok account, the kid is seen showing both of his middle fingers before imitating the hand gestures of asking for food!

Netizens have a lot to say about this

The videos have garnered the attention of the netizens and they have a lot to say about this issue. Some of the netizens question if the authorities are ever going to do something about these kids that are wandering the streets taunting the people for money.

“Authorities in Malaysia, please do something about it. They’re stepping on the laws of our country.”

“Don’t you feel weird that these kids are begging in the middle of the city? Were they permitted?”

“I feel sorry for these 2 poor kids.”

“Come to me, and I’ll give them a slap.”

It is certainly uneasy to see that there are children out there that have to beg for money, not to mention that they are also enduring poverty at such young age when they could be pursuing their education and achieving their dreams. Some of us may also wonder, where are their parents? What brought them here?

Regardless, their methods of begging are definitely uncalled for.
