Earlier today (September 5), it was reported that the 17-year-old UK teenager who boarded a one-way flight to Malaysia and subsequently went missing here was found safe and sound in Kuala Lumpur (KL).

While the police did not have much to share, they did reveal that the boy’s decision to leave home for Malaysia was made because of an alleged family misunderstanding.

According to a report by Kosmo, Kuala Lumpur Police Chief, Datuk Fadil Marsus, shared that a family dispute is said to be the reason 17-year-old David Balisong fled to Malaysia. This is based on a recording of an initial conversation with the boy after he was found at a hotel on Jalan Pudu.

David was found in good condition by a team of officers from the Kuala Lumpur Police Contingent based on information from philanthropist, Uncle Kentang.
